Matthew Goffriller

Famous musicians appreciate Goffriller instruments. Among the musicians who have played Goffriller instruments in the past are the violinists Édouard Lalo, Camillo Sivori, and Niccolò Paganini, the violist Walter Trampler, and (besides Pablo Casals) the cellists Emanuel Feuermann, János Starker, Pierre Fournier, Leonard Rose, and Johannes Goritzki. Among contemporary musicians, Goffriller instruments are or have been played by, among others, the violinists Martin Mumelter and Jennifer Pike, and the cellists Yo-Yo Ma, Gautier Capuçon, Anner Bylsma, Daniel Müller-Schott, Valentin Erben, Antonio Meneses, Alban Gerhardt, and Jacqueline du Pré. Recently, the renowned French musician Gautier Capuçon gave his Goffriller cello a name after 20 years: "The Ambassador." In an online post he writes: 'In the last few weeks I have finally found the name that represents the unique power of music to connect people: "The Ambassador"`.
